Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled News Content Editor to join our team at Outlever.

The team is lead by a former Bloomberg editor, as well as others from legacy publications like NYT, CNBC, TechCrunch, and more.

We run and manage newsrooms across any and all industries. Current newsrooms include Real Estate in Canada, No/Low Code tech, Software, HR, cybersecurity, and energy.

As the News Editor at Outlever, you will play a key role in daily news editing. We leverage AI heavily in the newsroom (think Grammarly for news editing).

- Your main responsibilities will include researching, writing, and editing news articles for our publications.
- You’ll be tasked with editing, developing unique story angles, and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- You will also ensure that all content is polished and meets our editorial standards and tone.
- Additionally, you’ll source photographs to enhance the visual appeal of the content.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit news articles, ensuring they are clear, concise, and accurate
- Edit and proofread for grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Create engaging headlines and captions for photographs
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure all content meets our standards
