Media Organization: The Current Lede

Company Description

We are a news outlet for younger audiences (high school to college age) covering New York City policy and culture. The Current Lede was created by Emma Grimes and Montserrat Pagan. We both just graduated Spring 2025 with our Bachelor's from NYU's print and multimedia track. We understand how important it is to have more clips to build a strong journalism portfolio. Since we just launched a few weeks ago, this opportunity is currently unpaid.

Job Description

The Current Lede team is looking for contributors to create short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok (@thecurrentledenyc). We hope to provide a supportive and structured environment to publish strongly researched stories. This will allow you to get more reporting and video production experience.
