Seeking a Producer specializing in screening and booking for a new podcast in the works. Broadcast/journalism graduates, grad students and undergrads all encouraged to apply.
I'm the creator and host of a podcast that is nearly five years old, and myself and a couple of colleagues are ramping up towards recruiting guests for this new show, an interview-style format with a general interest topic (details after you've gotten in touch with us).
We believe this to be a strong concept, and at this phase we're in the need of a large queue of intriguing guests. Your main job would be to make initial contact with these folks and screen them based on their potential as guests, plus other duties as you grow into the position. There is a big educational benefit in that I will teach you the basic skills of interviewing and screening (beyond what you already may have learned), which will be solid skills for your toolbox.
There is compensation offered for the position both via commission and a financial stake in the show as a producer with the show's launch. Please send a brief note to the email provided describing your interest in the position and we will be happy to tell you more about the show.
Thank you for your interest!
