Do you love digging up facts, then writing a story that demands to be read?

Do you end up on the front page because of how well you report and write your stories?

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, located in the center of the Natural State, is looking for reporters who can skillfully cover breaking news on deadline as well as craft non-deadline must-reads.

We want a self-starter who wants to land on the front page, whether with a single byline or as part of a team.

We're looking for someone who:
-- Aggressively pursues deadline and non-deadline stories.
-- Is eager to get out of the office and find stories.
-- Can mine public records and computerized data for deep-impact stories that affect real people.
-- Never settles for “good enough.”
-- Strives to serve the reader first.

We are based in Little Rock, the Arkansas capital, but cover the entire state and, if the story warrants, we go beyond Arkansas' borders. We take pride in the journalism we practice and are looking for people who want to hone their skills.
