Job Description

If you’ve been looking for the perfect place to write voicey, fun, and experimental posts about fashion, beauty, and style while learning more about the production of photo and video shoots for a growing force in media, look no further. Bustle.com is seeking an enthusiastic Fashion & Beauty intern who is totally into trying stuff out and writing about it to work with our Senior Fashion and Beauty editor for Spring 2016.

Wanna play tricks on your friends? Please apply. Wanna call out Instagram tropes? We want you. Want to drink a LOT of water to see if it helps your skin? By all means! Wanna pretend to have Kylie Jenner’s lips? Hi! You’re the best. Wanna spread your gospel about shaving your legs with body scrub, or curling your hair with a flat iron? You’ll fit right in, lady.

The ideal applicant will be able to work at two 6-hour shifts a week in our New York City office. You’ll get to attend previews, have the chance to pitch and write articles on the topics you’re passionate about, plus assist in every aspect of producing fun shoots for the site. This may include calling in and returning samples, organizing the fashion closet, performing market research, and assisting in styling for shoots. We’re especially looking for strong writers with a unique voice, but previous fashion and beauty closet experience is a bonus! Pay is $10/hour.

Requirements:
Availability to come to our NYC office at least two full days during the week starting January 4, 2016
Some writing experience (personal blog counts), ideally in the fashion/beauty arena
