Job Description

Scholastic Parent & Child magazine is looking for a spring semester intern to start in January 2011.

Intern responsibilities include: Interview authors, actors, musicians, etc. for website; write product reviews and other small pieces for website; request product samples for photo shoots; respond to reader inquiries and requests; research and fact-checking; assist processing of author assignments and contracts; attend and contribute to staff meetings; attend and assist as needed at photo shoots and press events; provide general administrative support. Applicants must have strong research and writing skills.

Scholastic is located near the NYU campus on Broadway and Prince streets.

Hours: 2-4 full days per week, typically work 9-5
Start Date: January 2011
Interns must receive school credit for their work.
