Job Description

Are you thinking about a career in science journalism but are not sure where to start? BioTechniques, a globally circulated life science publication that reaches an audience of more than 80,000 scientists, is currently seeking a science writing intern to develop and write news stories and feature articles for the online portion of the publication. This science writing internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about and participate in the creation of multimedia news content from inception to publication. Upon completion of this internship, you will have generated a professional science journalism portfolio consisting of news stories and feature articles published at BioTechniques.com, obtained a strong understanding of the latest cutting-edge research occurring in the life sciences, and developed numerous contacts within the greater biology community. The proposed length of the internship is four (4) months. Previous interns have gone on to full-time employment as well as highly respected graduate programs in science journalism.
