Description:

In addition to the experiences gained from the internship, the company provides various sessions throughout the semester to develop students professionally and expose them to senior leadership.
The NBC News Specials unit covers breaking news and live events, including long-term political stories. This summer, the unit will focus on conventions and election planning. Interns work directly with producers to research stories, prepare graphics, coordinate logistics, and screen and log tapes. Due to the unpredictable, exciting nature of breaking news, this is a great opportunity for individuals who want to work in a setting where each day is different.
Interns must be self-motivated and comfortable working on projects independently. They must have strong journalism experience, problem-solving skills and should be able to work full-time during the summer.
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
NBC Universal interns must meet the following criteria:
Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's program at an accredited college or university
Must be 18 years or older and currently in sophomore standing or above
Must be able to receive academic credit from their college or university prior to starting internship
Must be available through the beginning of September
