Job Description

The Huffington Post is looking for an intern for Huff/Post50 (huffingtonpost.com/50). Our site focuses on baby boomers, age 47 to 66. We have a small staff so our interns receive excellent hands-on experience in digital production, research and fact-checking, reporting and writing, photo and video selection, and advanced social media.

The Huffington Post For-Credit Academic Internship Program offers targeted, intensive work on The Huffington Post in exchange for course credit. Academic Interns will have the opportunity to meet HuffPost President & Editor-in-Chief, Arianna Huffington, and work side by side with senior editors to learn both the fundamentals and detailed workings of the business.

Once approved for an academic internship, the intern will work closely with the Huff/Post50 editor to create a curriculum outlining the goals of the program. The site's editor, Laura Rowley, is an award-winning journalist with 25 years experience in newspapers, magazines, television, radio and digital; she has published five books and was an adjunct professor at Seton Hall. Huff/Post50 takes our interns and the quality of their experience very seriously!

Seventy-seven million strong, baby boomers are shifting the biological, psychological, social and cultural definition of aging. We cover all aspects of lifestyle -- careers, family relationships, aging, health/fitness, love/sex, travel, music, film, celebrities, retirement, personal stories of reinvention and much more.

HuffPost Academic Interns must be enrolled in a recognized college or university, and receiving academic credit for the internship and authorized to work in the United States.
