Job Description

Interns at Africa.com are hands-on from day one and have the opportunity to do it all – pitch stories, conduct interviews, write, shoot video and represent Africa.com at notable events. This position is ideal for students looking to learn more about the online media environment, and is especially ideal for those who are interested in Africa from any and all perspectives, whether it's arts and culture, business and finance, technology, travel or news. In addition, you’ll have your byline on our well-recognized and respected platform.

Successful candidates will have:

o Experience in producing original content across mediums (print, multimedia)
o Strong communication and interviewing skills
o Strong enthusiasm for Africa
o A sense of journalistic ethics
o Knowledge of social media
o Knowledge of Content Management Systems – WordPress, MailChimp etc is a plus
o Knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro
