Media Organization: The Real Deal

Company Description

The Real Deal is the authority on New York City real estate news, with a 60,000 circulation monthly magazine and a website visited nearly 1 million times per month.

Job Description

The Real Deal magazine’s award-winning website, which covers every corner of New York City real estate, is seeking a Web Reporter to join our growing team.

The reporter will go head-to-head with the city’s daily newspapers and business publications to break news on major residential and commercial deals, new developments, industry moves, neighborhood trends and other items of interest to a sophisticated readership of local real estate professionals.

We’re looking for a motivated reporter with a proven track record of cultivating sources and chasing down stories; a thirst for scooping the competitors; and an innate talent for writing clean, effortless copy. Experience digging up stories in city records and court filings, as well as knowledge of New York City real estate and a Rolodex of industry sources, is a major plus. The position involves writing two or three news stories for TheRealDeal.com per day.

Salary is competitive, and benefits include a casual work environment and room to grow in the organization.

To Apply

Interested applicants should send a cover letter, resume and three — that’s right, three — relevant clips/links to Web Editor Leigh Kamping-Carder at jobs@therealdeal.com.
