Job Description

At Dataminr, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to (1) quickly monitor and analyze our data feeds and signals; (2) keep up-to-date on key developments in news and assess the impact of real-time Dataminr signals; and (3) contribute to the quality of information delivered to our clients.

Desired Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field
Experience working on the Spot News Desk of a news agency
2-5 years experience as a news gatherer, writer, reporter, editor or producer preferred
Ability to monitor and analyze data quickly
Passion for technology, social media and following world news and current events
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivation and an ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
