Job Description
NBC News and MSNBC are looking for students who are interested in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to participate in one of our many internship opportunities this Spring.
We are looking for students with a variety of different skillsets and backgrounds but who have a strong interest in news and/or politics. Many of our internships are in news writing and production, but we also have multiple positions within news in other functions as well, including digital and long form/documentary programming.
NBC News is one of the largest and longest-running broadcast news networks in the country and is home to a number of legendary shows such as The TODAY Show, Nightly News with Brian Williams, and Dateline NBC. MSNBC is a leader in cable television news, providing shows such as The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell, Weekends with Alex Witt, The Melissa Harris-Perry Show, Rachel Maddow, Up with Alec Baldwin, Disrupt with Karen Finney, and many others.
Ideal candidates for our production and editorial positions (for both MSNBC and NBC News) should be extreme news junkies who are interested in politics/political commentary, news production, and pop culture. Previous internship experience in a news environment is strongly preferred but not required.
