The New York Daily News is the largest and most widely-read newspaper in the New York City metropolitan area and second largest local media website in New York. Founded in 1919, the New York Daily News has won 10 Pulitzer Prizes for excellence in journalism.
The Features section covers lifestyle topics including entertainment, human interest, fashion, food, celebrity gossip, local events and more.
Interns will be responsible for pitching and writing feature stories for print and online, doing street reporting, calling in photos, and being a part of the team. They will also be invited to participate in pitch meetings.
Candidates must have newswriting and reporting experience, and should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, write on deadline, multitask and think on their feet. We need interns to commit to two weekdays per week.
