Journalism Internship

Media Organization: Woman's Day

Company Description

Woman's Day is an indispensable resource to 20 million women. The brand speaks to our reader’s values and focuses on what’s important. We empower her with smart solutions for her core concerns—health, home, food, style and money, and celebrate the connection she cherishes with family, friends and community. Whether in-book, online, mobile or through social outlets, we provide inspiring insight and fresh ideas on how to get the most of everything.

Woman’s Day gives our loyal audience the actionable tools and relatable inspiration she needs to lead a vibrant, healthy and satisfying life.

Job Description

Woman’s Day is searching for enthusiastic spring interns to join its features department. We are looking for students working toward a degree in journalism or English, who are interested in women’s lifestyle magazines. Ideal candidates will be organized, creative, self-motivated, and passionate about the magazine.

Interns will work closely with our features team to research and brainstorm ideas for articles on personal finance, pets, women entrepreneurs, and women making a difference in their communities. Interns will also call in samples and handle reader mail.

Woman’s Day is one of the oldest women’s service magazines and staying connected with our reader base is very important. Previous relevant internship experience is preferred, but not required.

Depending on the days interns work, there are opportunities to attend production meetings and pitch meetings.
