Media Organization: ENR/Dodge Data & Analytics

Company Description

ENR and ENR.com are the primary sources of news and data for the construction industry.

Job Description

Are tariffs needed to discourage China from dumping steel in the U.S.? Will worker shortages help carpenters and ironworkers win big pay raises this year? Will inflation drive up costs in 2016? If these questions perk you up instead of putting you to sleep you may be the right person for us.

ENR, the primary source of news and data for the construction industry, is seeking a freelance economics editor. The work would be performed initially on a part-time basis in ENR's midtown Manhattan office with our award-winning staff. Candidates should have experience or education in economics and journalism and feel comfortable conducting interviews, writing, assigning work to other freelancers and editing articles. (Experience with TM1 databases is a plus but not mandatory.)

The heart of the job involves analysis of material prices and wages and how they are shaped by market forces or other factors. While the deadlines are challenging, our reports are vital to the industry.

To Apply

Please send resumes and emails to richard.korman@construction.com and put the words "freelance economics editor" in the subject field.
