Job Description

The Verona-Cedar Grove Times seeks a reporter to cover the Township of Cedar Grove. The beat consists of feature reporting and coverage of local government and board of education meetings.

Successful candidate will write and develop feature stories and perform other routine editorial tasks such as writing headlines and captions and assisting in the layout of news pages. Must also be able to prepare and post stories to the web.

A college degree and proven journalism experience are preferred. Good oral and written communication skills, PC and social media familiarity, and the ability to deal with the public are necessary. Adequate means of transportation is essential.
