E! News is looking for an enthusiastic, highly self-motivated full time team player to join the digital and on-air news teams in Los Angeles and New York.

The writer/reporter will discover, write and post stories that are driving the pop culture conversation, play an integral role in breaking news across the E! News organization, and deliver reporting for both daily and long-lead cross-platform coverage.

The individual will be expected to drive stories (not just chase them) with an emphasis on breaking news. Ability to develop strong sources or industry connections required, as is a strong sense of hustle and passion, and ability to think two steps ahead of every story. This position entails both original reporting and assignment writing.

Candidates should have an extensive knowledge of and love for pop culture, and have experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to foster sources and write quick and efficient copy required. This position will work with all E! News platforms, both digital and broadcast.

Qualities/Expertise we looking for:
-Solid online news experience; strong writer with a voice; has an eye for best and most traffic-driving stories

-In possession of or able to develop strong sources or industry connections

-Ability to report out a story and anticipate the trajectory of a news cycle and get in front of the next beat

-Reporting experience

-Experience or comfortable with interviewing, some event coverage

-Ability to spot a hot-button story or a viral video

-Passionate about pop culture, familiar with all of the Web’s top news sites and blogs

-Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond to news as it happens

-Hard-working, dedicated and detail-oriented

-Clear and concise writer

-Interest and passion for pop culture and entertainment

-Team worker who can work well with others
