TradeWinds, a leading news publication covering the marine shipping industry, is offering just such an opportunity as we seek a full-time reporter for our bureau in Stamford, Connecticut.

Key responsibilities include:

Reporting on shipping markets, companies and events for TradeWinds weekly newspaper, website and supplements.
Prompt reaction to the news agenda and engagement with colleagues worldwide to co-ordinate coverage.
Developing the range, depth and insight of news stories, features and interviews to reflect the interests of our readers.
Posting and editing online content when necessary.
Establishing knowledge of shipping markets and issues.
Building strong long-term relationships with key figures.
Representing TradeWinds when attending industry events, conferences and exhibitions.
Periodic regional and international travel.
