Job Description

Are you interested in yoga, intentional living, and wellness? Want to be a part of a fast-growing media team and have the opportunity to be a content decision-maker?

Wanderlust Media is looking for a self-motivated and self-starting journalism student to be an autonomous editor of user-generated content (UGC) for Yoganonymous.com. Yoganonymous is the premiere yoga lifestyle millennial site, an all-inclusive place for the voices of yoga and wellness enthusiasts to be heard.

You’ll be responsible for curating UGC coming in to the site’s backend, and seeing at least 10 pieces / week through to publication. You’ll also be responsible to share these on social media, and work closely with the Wanderlust Media Managing Editor regarding analytics to determine what works and what doesn’t. You’ll have the opportunity to decide what’s good UGC (invaluable skills if you’re interested in becoming an editor at a magazine, newspaper, or website), gain experience in both the editorial and engagement sides of content, and have control over your own hours.

The position is remote, but you’ll meet with Yoganonymous CEO and/or the Managing Editor of Wanderlust in-office every other week to touch base. You’ll also work closely with the Managing Editor of Yoganonymous, based off-site. Wanderlust Media HQ is in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

This is a paid position. We’re estimating that the gig shouldn’t take you more than 10 hours / week. If it’s a great fit, it could roll into a full-time position as the company continues to grow.
