WHO WE WANT: A motivated journalist and editor with at least five years of business writing and editing experience, preferably in a real-time news operation. The preferred candidate will be familiar with the biotech and life sciences industry. Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, companion diagnostics, personalized medicine, and molecular research tools is a big plus but not required. You must be able to work under tight and constant deadlines, and have experience covering business news including financial results, alliances, and M&A activity. Familiarity with social media platforms and promoting news via these platforms is also desirable. We are seeking someone who can quickly get up to speed and start editing and writing in-depth, value-added content.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Your primary responsibility will be assigning and editing copy that is filed daily by our team of writers. In addition, you will be expected to produce news briefs and feature articles on business news related to the genomics and molecular diagnostics fields and develop sources in the industry, academia, and government. You may also be assigned to cover a few conferences and/or trade shows each year.

This is a full-time position located in our downtown Manhattan office. We are currently not considering freelancers, part-timers, or others wishing to work remotely.
