Midtown boutique media company producing high-quality, targeted, award-winning national health-and-wellness consumer magazines is looking for a SuperStar Intern for market research and social media.
Focusing on health, wellness and parenting, our publications provide our consumer audience with information for a healthy lifestyle and raising a happy, healthy family — presented in an elegant format. All our publications, both digital and print, are written by top experts and endorsed by leading national health and medical organizations.
Potential candidates will work directly with the editorial and sales teams and are expected to think proactively and creatively to expand our research capability and social media presence.

Duties:
• Research advertising verticals, companies, brands and products to find prospective new advertisers.
• Do online research to pull data and background information for analyses and competitive sales use.
• Manage our social media presence, including creating and scheduling daily postings from our award-winning editorial on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
• Help with the RFP process and build Proposals.
• Light administrative and office support when needed.

Candidates:
• Are knowledgeable and enthusiastic when it comes to magazine publishing, the media business, the digital space, social media and/or advertising.
• Are reliable, independent, outgoing and personable; are quick, engaged learners; motivated & detail-oriented.
• Have previous work/internship experience within advertising, media, B2B sales and social media campaigns.
• Have completed relevant coursework in Business Administration, Advertising, Communications, and/or Marketing.
• Are competent in Word, Excel, and online research.
• Are proficient and experienced running social media campaigns, including daily posting of content, particularly with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
• Are familiar with Hootsuite.

Minimum of 30 – 35 hours per week. Immediate start.
We offer great hands-on experience and will provide a weekly stipend to cover your commuting and other expenses.
