Media Organization: LiveCampusTours by Nylie
During the pandemic and beyond, LiveCampusTours by Nylie is helping high school students make smarter college decisions through 1:1 campus tours by smartphone with undergraduates who share their interests or background. Our primary mission is to provide a more substantive virtual tour than canned video tours and allow students unable to visit campus for financial reasons, time constraints or international visa issues to connect meaningfully with current students and get a real feel for what campus is like.
LiveCampusTours by Nylie is seeking provocative and/or service-oriented essays and features about and/or for underrepresented groups applying to and attending American universities. Groups include but are not limited to first-generation, low-income students (FGLIs); religious, racial and ethnic minorities, children of immigrants and/or DREAMers; international students; LGBTQ+ individuals; all gender identities; and anyone else who has a unique perspective about applying to college, seeking financial aid and living on campus. Editor is Seth Kugel, a long-time New York Times contributor (1000+ articles) and NYU adjunct. Submit pitches or completed articles with headline to email@example.com. 600-700 words ideal, $75 per accepted piece.
