Job Description
We’re looking for committed freelancers who can become regular contributors. Most of our stories are slideshows with 10 to 30 slides (about 50-60 words each). We pay $7.50 per slide ($125 to $400 for a full slide show) and 15 cents a word for articles, as well as an hourly rate for certain related tasks. And we pay promptly, so you won't waste your time following up on unpaid invoices. It's just one of the things that has kept many writers with us for years.

Your Role
Pursue stories assigned by editors on a monthly basis.
Conduct original reporting and provide sources for fact checking.
Quickly write copy that is accurate, informative, lively, and clean.
Collaborate with editors to ensure stories fulfill the assignment and fit our format and style.
Promote your stories and the Cheapism brand on social media.
Your Qualifications
Journalism background
Experience covering personal finance and/or lifestyle topics
Social-media savvy
Strict attention to detail and accuracy
Bonus points for familiarity with AP style, Trello, and SEO best practices.
