We're looking for a savvy self-starter (who has some experience producing and editing videos for web) to get hands-on experience interviewing, filming and editing video content for the multimedia blog, as well as some admin tasks. Experience with Final Cut Pro X required. We take mentoring very seriously. This is not a virtual placement; the person needs to be in New York City. I'm a former NYU- Journalism alum and freelance writer looking for some help creating content across a variety of media outlets. Knowledge and interest in fashion/beauty/lifestyle is a must.

This paid contributor position with a San Francisco based media start-up. It will require a good deal of writing, quick analysis of a wide variety of issues and topics, online outreach and feedback from the public, and a deep appreciation and balanced communication of diverse points of view, especially when they conflict with your own bias and opinion.

Educational components

This summer, we are working with a bank to issue the first unsecured credit card specifically tailored for international students and workers. In preparation for this launch, we are hiring a summer FinTech journalist/blogger that would be focused on creating articles about finance and how this underserved community is impacted by the status quo.
