Freelance Reporter

Hiring! Political News Site Seeks Freelance Reporters

Occupy.com is a news site with national and global readership that is committed to shining a light on rising inequality, the influence of money in politics, and movements pressing for social, economic and environmental change. We're a voice for millennials who are interested, above all, in finding solutions to today's problems – from tackling college debt and climate change to addressing issues raised by Black Lives Matter and the Fight for $15.

We are hiring freelance correspondents to strengthen our pre-election coverage this summer, and we'd love to hear from students and practicing journalists who are interested in reporting. This isn't a "job offer" with a formal position opening up, but an invitation to regular paid freelance work for reporters who want to tell stories that move them. We pay rates competitive with other digital mainstream outlets. All queries can be sent to levitin@occupy.com.

• Adobe Suite (preferable)
• Photography (preferable)
• Excel (preferable)

Writers

The Pavlovic Today is unique in the sense that it lets voices be heard - no restrictions or bias to limit the author's voice. In a time where nearly all media is "polarized with either too much bias or none at all", we are lacking a news source that allows free expression in response to world events, and now we have one.

Writers will be asked to write 2 articles per week, depending on the section in which they are interested in contributing to.

We are currently recruiting for AfterimageReview ( political expert opinion), Naked Opinion ( Young Voices ), Inspiration and Mixed Media (Culture, Arts, Film, Movies etc)

Writers will get a unique platform to voice their ideas and standpoint and a full byline.
