As a Sports Correspondent at isportsweb.com you will be assigned to cover a sports beat for a team you have interest in. As that team’s correspondent, contributors are expected to generate multiple stories per week about that team. These stories can and should be opinionated, and we give our writers freedom to pick topics they find relevant to their particular team.

Responsibilities
Each week, we create and publish The Week in Rap, which summarizes important current events in a music video. We also publish supplemental material so students can learn more about the news stories. You’ll be responsible for writing all the content aside from the song itself. You’ll need to be available each week on Wednesday afternoon to fact-check the song’s lyrics. You'll have between Wednesday at 2 PM and Thursday at 1 PM to produce the content. You'll need to be available on Thursday mid-afternoon to make any revisions to the news summaries you’ve written. We estimate that these tasks with take around 4 hours each week.
Each week you will:
— Independently follow various major news stories
— Propose the 7-8 stories that should make it into the Week in Rap (Wednesday’s at 1:30pm Eastern)
— Fact check the lyrics (Wednesday’s at 5pm)
— Summarize each story in 8-10 sentences, writing at an 8th-grade reading level (by Thursday at 1pm)
— Create a short activity and quiz, based on the model we send you (by Thursday at 1pm)
Skills & Qualifications

— You were a great student and have a college degree
