Editorial Contributor The Global Journal

International publication based in New York City and Geneva seeks one brilliant, talented, detail-oriented and reliable intern to work in editorial in a startup global magazine. There is the possibility of hire at the end of the internship. Ideal candidates are highly organized with excellent communication skills. Strong writing and editorial skills are also preferable.

Job duties include liaising with European and U.S. editors, art directors, and writers; researching feature articles; high-quality writing; editing expert analysis and global events commentary on important social and economic issues; assisting with administrative duties.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a small office environment. Only those with Type A energy and with a firm understanding of global affairs need apply. Experience in related editorial capacities or strong work experience with transferable skills desirable. Web skills are essential, as is a thorough command of Microsoft Office Suite. InDesign a plus.

The internship runs through the year, at a minimum of 2 days per week. This internship may lead to a full-time position as the company becomes established.

HAUS MAGAZINE is a student publication that reflects an independent-minded, ambitious readership that thrives on the creative industries of art, travel, fashion, film and music.

Haus International currently consists of a UK, Paris and Lebanon editorial teams.

The New York editors job role would consist of bringing together bloggers from the big apple to contribute arts, fashion, music, film and travel content to an international audience.

We are looking for a student or recent graduate who is already experienced in blogging or magazine production.
