Intern

Meredith Video Studios is a division of Meredith Corporation that produces Better TV, a national television program, as well as branded entertainment and internet content for Meredith brands. We are currently looking for interns for the upcoming semester.

Our interns have the opportunity to learn how a daily lifestyle show is booked, produced, directed, shot and edited. They assist with all of these tasks and will also have opportunities to work with our marketing and branded entertainment teams, should they choose to do so.

They will learn how to book guests, research guests and topics, prepare folders of information for hosts, greet and assist guests when they arrive, then see the process through from the interview on into editing.

Our interns also work with the production crew, helping with props and working behind-the-scenes in the studio while shows are taped. They often spend time in the control room to learn the technical side of producing a show, as well.

In addition, interns will have the opportunity to go out into the field and assist on shoots with producers, videographers and hosts. Then, they will help log tape that is shot during the field shoot.

This is a hands-on internship, during which students will not just observe, but will have the chance to assist with everything we do on a daily basis to put these two shows on the air.

Meredith Video Studios is looking for students who are friendly, organized and eager to learn about television production. Students must have strong writing skills and be willing to take the initiative in making sure they are getting the most out of their internship experience. MVS has a lot to offer, but it’s important for interns to let us know what they would like to focus on or learn more about, so we may cater their work to accommodate these needs.

If interested, please contact Anne Ebeling at anne.ebeling@meredith.com with your résumé and a few words telling us why you would like to be a part of our MVS internship program.
