Writer & Editor

A group of private investors is seeking a reporter/writer to launch and lead a new online pro-growth publication focused on the city of San Antonio.

Our high-level goal is twofold:

1. Elevate the actions and impact of local entrepreneurs, business leaders, and political/city officials who are driving positive change in the city.

2. Hold public office and decision-makers to account for taxpayer investments and projects that overrun and/or are mismanaged.

This opportunity offers an excellent blank canvas for someone pro-business, with a deep level of curiosity and commitment to fact-based reporting.

This role will be hands-on, and in the first year, you will be investigating and writing weekly, with additional guest articles.

How the publication evolves will be determined by the impact you can drive (e.g, if successful, it is possible this could be rolled out across multiple tier-two cities).

This position will be based in San Antonio and require someone with hustle, who shares a pro-business/capitalist frame of reference. You will also hold a genuine interest in urban/city development and growth.

San Antonio has the ingredients to become a magnet for companies, jobs, and talent. However, our city often finds ways to stifle innovation and opportunity due to poor execution and a lack of agency.

This is our effort to effect positive change by shining light and transparency where it is most needed.

This is a rare opportunity to lead and build a growth-focused online weekly publication, a platform for positive impact!

Pay $65 - $80k

Relocation allowance provided.
