LobbySeven, LLC is seeking an independent contractor to assist with projects related to the firm’s publishing commentary and consulting for financial service firms. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and complete projects in a timely manner. Projects expected to require 5-10 hours/week and can be completed off-site. Occasional in-person meetings may be required. Responsibilities may include:
• Consulting Projects:
o Initial preparation of pitch books, RFPs or presentations
o Research related to RFPs or prospective clients
o Completion of administrative tasks including operations
• Commentary/Publishing
o Editing and review of initial commentary
o Production of online commentary
o Some website design.

Candidate Criteria
• Completed or currently seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree
• Experience in online, print, and social media required
• Experience editing factual commentary
• Experience with Microsoft Powerpoint and Word
• Knowledge of web design and production (preferred)

Editorial Intern

+ assist in the physical set up, physical upload, execution of the wine recommendation section of the newsletter

+ fact-checking: contact wine makers and importers for basic information on viticulture vinification and pricing

The brands mission is to create social upliftment in various socially beleaguered communities around the world through fashion that creates fair wage jobs and is sustainable in its manufacturing practices.

We would like to build a relationship with a group of contributing editorial journalists to partner with us on a new custom publishing project that we're launching called 'MOT Mag which will be the main content marketing vehicle used to promote our brands values.

The magazine will be published online and later be reproduced in hard copy on a quarterly basis. The hard copy will be an anthology of all the best online stories and visuals.

Our compensation for writers is set on a pay as we publish basis whereby we remunerate writers only for work that is published based on the brief they were given:

1 – Main feature article: 12550 to 1500 words (5 day deadline) for $150.00
2 – Medium feature article 900 to 1250 words (3 day deadline) for $75.00
3 – Small feature article 600 to 900 words (3 day deadline) for $40.00

We would like build up a team of about 3 to 5 writers which we will work with consistently on a freelance basis to produce weekly articles around broader topics such as: sustainable fashion, veganism, social injustice and spirituality.

Account Associate

The position focuses on external communications and will report to the Vice President, Global Media Relations and Financial Communication. The role will also support the broader Global Communications team on projects as necessary. Specific responsibilities include:

Media Relations
Media/social media monitoring: Provide ongoing monitoring of company news and social media activity/content; emphasis on identifying content that could impact the company’s reputation
News reports: Take an active role in editing and distributing a thrice-weekly summary of news about the company, competitors and industry trends that is distributed to executives and managers globally.

Corporate Newsroom: Handle updates to the chubb.com corporate newsroom, including posting of Chubb “In the News” stories

Financial Communications

Other:
· Executive biographies: Handle periodic updates to senior executive bios, including arranging periodic photo shoots.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Undergraduate degree, preferably with a major or concentration in Journalism/Communications/English or related liberal arts major.
· 2-3 years of experience in journalism and/or a PR agency, or in-house communications role, focused on corporate communications
· Knowledge of core PR measurement, targeting and monitoring tools, such as Cision, Factiva, Meltwater and Gorkana
· Familiarity with corporate financial reporting, e.g., quarterly earnings reports; Financial Services industry experience preferred
· Excellent written and oral communications skills; strong writing and editing skills are a must
· Analytical thinker who can craft clear messages and story lines from complex issues

Position Summary:
