Job Description

OURscene Networks is looking for motivated college students to intern with our Production Division. Interns will be working with the first news, entertainment and lifestyle internet channel that produces original content for the LGBT community. This position will provide high exposure to all aspects of the production industry, tactical approach and execution to online and offline marketing initiatives, content development, programming and scheduling, digital and social media, and editorial. Interns will be responsible for staying abreast of pop culture, project research and editorial including writing descriptive teaser texts, blogs and newsletters. Intern will work with the OURscene Networks production unit, producers and hosts, and assist with production needs. Intern will have the opportunity to assist on shoots in the field, as well as shoot and edit material for ourscenetv.com. Intern will be expected to pitch story ideas and contribute to online content on a regular basis. Interest or basic knowledge of FinalCut Pro is a plus.

Interns MUST be eligible to receive college credit to qualify for the internship. Additionally, each applicant must be willing to dedicate a minimum of 25 hours a week for the duration of the semester and have his or her own laptop to work from.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and ability to navigate the Internet is a must! Experience with and knowledge of social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc.). And interest in new/digital media, marketing/promotions, writing, and production and pop culture is suggested.

Looking for self-starters who are highly motivated, organized and web-savvy. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented atmosphere.
