Job Description
Oprah.com is seeking a hard-working, web-savvy and enthusiastic intern to join our staff for the summer. This is a full-time, unpaid internship position. Duties will include production, photo research, market work, research for stories, social media, and writing promotional copy. There may be opportunities to pitch and write original content.
Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. They should be diligent managers of their own time and not afraid to ask questions. Passions for journalism and for women’s magazines in particular, as well as enthusiasm about exploring the many creative opportunities involved in web journalism, are essential. Writing experience and strong research skills are a must. Web experience is a plus, but not necessary. Additionally, a sense of humor and diverse interests are welcome.
