Inside Edition is a daily syndicated news broadcast carried by more than 160 stations around the country and seen by 4-5 million viewers each day. The broadcast focuses on fast breaking national news events, investigative news reporting, national security and criminal issues, media and entertainment events and human-interest stories of all varieties. Inside Edition employs a staff of 125 and is anchored by award winning journalist Deborah Norville.

Inside Edition has been honored for excellence with prestigious journalistic awards including: The National Press Club Award, The Polk Award, The Sigma Delta Chi Award (presented by The Society of Professional Journalists), The Overseas Press Club Award, The Investigative Reporters and Editors Award, The Deadline Club Award, The National Headliner Award, The Clarion Award and nominated for a National News EMMY for its coverage at ground zero on September 11, 2001.

Job Description

Story Coordinators are responsible for finding, securing and coordinating elements for national TV news segments in a highly competitive environment under very tight deadlines.

Candidates must have excellent research, phone and people skills. Daily duties involve making numerous phone calls to secure interviews and obtain information, doing background research utilizing public records and conducting pre-interviews.

Applicants must be highly motivated team players who can juggle multiple projects and work well under pressure.

Prior experience in TV/Print/Web news journalism is a strong plus. Applicants must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary. This is a lower-level position with strong possibility for upward movement.
