We're looking for new enterprising freelancers to join our team. I am writing a book and or short story entitled 365 days of pizza. It is about relationships, weight loss, and spirituality all intertwined in one. I am a retired federal agent and have led an interesting life with many spiritual interventions along the way.

I am looking for anyone interested in helping me write this book or short story. No pay involved at this time other than lunches or dinners during the process. If published I am willing to split all royalties. This can be worked out in further detail during initial meeting.

• Works with writers and editors on sourcing issues and wording of articles.
• Suggests clarifying phrases or wording to ensure accurate presentation of facts.
• Locates additional sources of data to validate facts.
• Makes recommendations to improve departmental processes.

• May conduct research on a topic and write a related article.

• College graduate, graduate credits preferred or equivalent experience with at least 3 - 5 years work experience-doing research for a magazine or newspaper.
• Must demonstrate excellent research skills and knowledge of fact-checking procedures.
• Must be highly skilled at gathering information from various sources.
• Must be able to translate very complex statistical and technical data into plain English.
• Must be extremely detail oriented, thorough, organized, and able to work well under rigid deadline pressures.

THIS IS PRIMARILY A REMOTE JOB.

We seek self-starters with an entrepreneurial desire who are interested in changing the way news is gathered and empowering people. It’s not a small mission, but it’s one that is long overdue, given the technology available, the opportunities that arise all over the globe, and the need for thoughtful, honest, transparent, user-generated content from people who do not need to sell advertising or continuously provide click-bait. We need a couple of energetic journalism or communications students who can organize testers, coordinate feedback, and help us grow and develop the app.

We will provide extensive guidance as to what we need done. If you’re in NYC, we will meet regularly, but we expect you to work on a project/task-oriented basis. We expect tons of communication.

We can’t offer much to start, but if you’re good and work at the opportunity, we’re happy to reward you. And clearly, we seek future potential employees. For now, this is an independent contractor position. It’s all about the app.

Jointly, a start-up financial education platform for couples/ couples financial management app, needs a regular contributor to handle about two pieces a month, to be posted at Jointly (jointly.fi/articles) and potentially on some of our content partner's sites (such as societyofgrownups.com). The posts are paid and vary between first-person and reported. We have some assignments, but we're also open to hearing the writer's thoughts.

Unsettled podcast is currently looking for a new team member to produce content & also help us with some growth projects (either social media or fundraising) through December 2018, with the possibility to stay on. We're a team of volunteers, and this position (about 10 hours a week) is also volunteer. Individuals in all locations welcome to apply, NYC-based is preferred.
