Do you have a passion for technology and startup news and content - long and short forum content creation, video, podcasting and more. Primary responsibility is support of senior editorial staff as well as, proofreading, research, drafting of content, liaising with contributors and news sources, coordination of submission deadlines, social media and marketing assistance.

Learn hands on research, podcasting, writing of short form editorial, social marketing and tracking.

You will be attending many Technology focused events, conferences, and summits; therefore good communication skills will be a requirement!

WordPress skill are a plus. Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite and basic video editing skills also a plus.

Jr. Audio Editor

Far From TV is looking to hire bright, detail-oriented Jr. Audio Editor for the Summer 2018.

Do you have a passion for technology and startup news and content - long forum, short forum, video, podcasting and more. Primary responsibility is support of senior editorial staff, hosts of podcasts, as well as, proofreading, research, drafting of content, liaising with contributors and news sources, coordination of submission deadlines, social media and marketing assistance.

Duties can include editing of audio interviews, creating short form content, reaching out to news sources, podcasting correspondence, writing wire pieces, and
WordPress skill are a plus.

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, &/or Photoshop, Illustrator and basic video editing skills also a plus.

Ideally you’d be able to start in June and work through the end of August for 15 to 20 hours a week.

Freelance Editor

We are looking to hire a freelance editor responsible for creating new content ideas and editing the work of our writers for our authority content sites. Our company builds and manages authority websites in a few different vehicles (real estate, healthcare, fashion, etc.). The role will involve overseeing the written content production cycle from start to finish. You will be responsible for coming up with an article idea, assigning it to the writer, editing the writer’s work, and ensuring a final product is delivered on time.

Freelance Health and Medical Writers

We are in need of highly skilled, knowledgeable health and medical writers who are interested in working with us on any of the following:

News/research briefs: Short articles (usually 400 to 600 words) summarizing the most important aspects of new HIV-related research and other HIV developments. Articles seek to put news in context through the inclusion of original quotes by the people behind these developments, as well as topical experts.

Reported articles: Expanded, detailed examinations of new research or other developments. These moderate-length articles (usually 800 to 1200 words) include background, context, and several quotes, which together provide a thoughtful analysis of the relevance of the story for the HIV workforce.

Op-eds and personal stories: Perspectives from members of the HIV workforce on developments and trends within their field -- or on the realities and challenges of their professional lives.

In-depth feature reporting: Long-form articles, interviews, videos, or moderated roundtable discussions that deeply explore an HIV-related issue of significant relevance or importance to 1) the HIV workforce or 2) the care of people at risk for, living with, or affected by HIV. Includes significant background research and context, and usually requires skill with interview preparation, execution, and transcription.

Pay rates per article will differ depending on the type and length of the piece.

We are seeking contributors who are available on a part-time basis to write news reports on the fast moving FinTech industry. The industry is seeing significant disruption and innovation in digital banking, robotic process automation, mobile banking, artificial intelligence in the banking sector making it an exciting place for a news reporter, analyst, or technology enthusiast.

If you currently are a journalism major, or an English major, or recent graduate and find the above interesting please write us. We also welcome others who have a flair for writing and an interest in the above industry. Strong command of the English language, and the ability to do primary and secondary research and having conversations with industry participants is key. Freelance Writer for Makeup Madeover (Royal Wedding)

Makeup Madeover isn't just another beauty site -- we're curating a fresh and witty conversation to challenge conventional beauty norms.

We're looking for someone to write an essay on the Royal Wedding, happening on May 19th. It will focus on mixed-race identity and Meghan Markle with a beauty tie-in and are open to brainstorming, as the piece hasn't been narrowed down to something specific. We want the writer to build a piece based on their own opinions and perspectives without limitations.

Perhaps the story can be about how it makes the writer feel now that someone who "looks like her" is being catapulted into the world spotlight (and marrying into a historically white family) and how she thinks she'll change the beauty conversation in the future.

Podcast Host

catalysta seeks a dynamic individual to host an ongoing podcast series. The show consists of three 45-minute segments produced on a semi-annual basis. The first program is on an contributor/expenses only basis. Ongoing programs will be paid.
