Responsibilities:
Refinitiv LPC is seeking a skilled and energetic journalist to cover the private U.S. secondary loan market. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly deliver news on secondary loan trading and adjacent markets, including high yield bonds and credit default swaps. The reporter will also be able to conceive and write longer pieces on secondary trends for LPC’s print publications, real time news service LoanConnector and the Reuters newswire.

Skills:

•Excellent contact building, strong people skills and initiative are key for breaking news in a private market and producing market-moving off diary stories
•An understanding of the syndicated loan market, how the fast-paced news cycle impacts loan trading and how this translates into breaking secondary market news is a plus but training will also be provided
•Strong written, communication and organisational skills are a must, along with two years of relevant financial reporting experience, newswire experience a plus

Responsibilities

-Support both the Ad Age and Ad Age Creativity editorial teams in photo, multimedia and digital page production: Editing, resizing, posting, and archiving in content management systems as well as external platforms such as social media and asset management systems
-Work closely with reporters and editors to visualize data, create and package charts/graphics, design searchable/sortable datasets and build other interactive elements such as multilayered (parallax) pages and slideshows for desktop, mobile and social web experiences
-Use HTML, CSS and Javascript to design and build novel presentations and interactive news applications for non-traditional stories and story elements, working closely with content team to conceive and develop new ways to tell stories (both for daily content and print-to-web)
-Work closely with the design and web development teams to build out new front end and back end products for users (audience) and editors

Basic Qualifications

CR's next Senior Writer/Editor Auto, is a seasoned automotive journalist who loves cars, understands the auto industry and knows how to communicate that from a consumer's point of view.  We're looking for someone who can generate enterprise, original content, across digital, print, social and video platforms, that is on-strategy, on-time and well-packaged and highly engaging. This position is located at Consumer Report's 327-acre Auto Test Facility in Colchester, CT, 22-miles southest of Hartford.
Responsibilities:
-Under general supervision conceives and executes high quality, well reported cross-platform in depth regular automotive content campaigns that will be published across print, digital, and video platforms; works closely with counterparts in Labs, Advocacy, Survey, Communications, Design, and other key stakeholders to maximize resources and consumer impact.
-Conducts large scale enterprise investigative reporting.
-Aggressively follows and reports on autos, ensuring content is relevant, timely, cutting-edge and addresses consumer needs in a proactive way.
-Attends trade shows and other industry events as needed.
-Acts as both in-house auto expert and CR auto representative for media outreach and public events.
