Hertzman Media Group is looking for a senior editor to join our family of apparel industry publications: Sourcing Journal, Vamp and Rivet.

The editor will cover financial and business news for our daily publications and create feature stories and reports that analyzes how individual news stories affect the entire apparel and footwear supply chains. A strong preference will be given to candidates that have experience reporting on issues like labor, trade, government regulations, quarterly results, currency fluctuations, and bankruptcies and acquisitions. Must have an eye for news and the ability to pitch a regular stream of stories that are appropriate for our audience, which is made up of apparel and footwear industry executives.

Applicants must have a journalism degree and 3-5 years of journalism experience, ideally in a daily news environment. You're an enthusiastic team player who loves working in a fast-paced environment. You'll be expected to create clean copy, create informative content (with an eye for SEO-friendly headlines and copy), and grow into an expert in the business side of the apparel industry.

Editor - Southwest Austin

The opportunity:
The Editor serves as a primary representative of the company within the community. He/she is responsible for developing relationships with community leaders and news sources and for promoting the company in a positive and professional light. Qualifications

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE JOB:

We’re looking for a leader to oversee all elements of the operation –– with a passion and deep understanding of sports media.
