Kurani is a socially conscious architecture firm that designs spaces to improve human life. Our current work asks: Can we help more people access quality education by making more places conducive to learning? We partner with schools, institutions, and leading companies to design learning spaces that increase opportunities for children and adults around the globe.

The writer will help Kurani raise brand awareness through copywriting and publishing. The position is for Part Time/Freelance only and available immediately.

Requirements
• track record of publishing in top tier US media (ex: NYTimes, WSJ, Forbes, NPR, FastCo)
• comfortable working on commission/pay per article published

Responsibilities
• propose article storylines to Kurani leadership
• gather project information, impact data, and interviews as content for articles
• pitch approved storylines to top-tier US media
• write and edit original copy for 600-1400 word articles
• review article drafts with Kurani leadership
• work with media Editors to finalize and publish articles with relevant images

The Forbes business section is looking for contributing writers for a wide variety of subjects.

Contributors write five articles a month. You can write news hits, features and analytical pieces. There's room for creativity as long as you have a business angle. A finance journalism background is not required.

UNMUTE has redefined podcasting with LIVE interactive"Talk Shows" where listeners become part of the conversation. We host daily interviews with actors, artist, and influencers to highlight their story and allow their fans/followers to engage by getting "unmuted." We have interviewed everyone from Bellamy Young of ABC's 'SCANDAL' to Brooklyn Sudano star of NBC'S 'TAKEN'.

We are NOW introducing these talk shows to the College Age demographic. We are looking for any student that has ever wanted to HOST their own Podcast. In a world of instant connection, we've never felt more disconnected with swiping, liking and following as our main form of communication. So Unmute's goal is to raise the best voices of the millennial generation on a platform that is all about talking.

Journalism Contributors (Writers, Photographers, Videographers) // ROOSTERGNN Global News Network

ROOSTERGNN Global News Network (RGNN.org), a non-profit news agency promoting freedom of expression, is recruiting university journalism contributors. The goal: to bring future journalists closer to the real-life responsibilities of a journalist at a news agency.

Responsibilities:

- Pitch a monthly calendar of content (articles, interviews, photostories, videos, etc.)
- Publish at least one piece of content (articles, interviews, photostories, videos, etc.) per month in one of the following channels:
o Gobernanza. Politics, Economy, Business.
o Innovation. Science, Technology, Education.
o Espectaculart. Art, Culture, Sports.
o Glamour. Fashion, Lifestyle, Social Media, Celebrities.
o GapBrave. Travel
- The content can be published in English or Spanish.
- Excellent writing skills required in the language you are requesting to write in.
- The articles, interviews, feature stories should always be adapted for the web and optimized for SEO.
- The articles must be accompanied by their respective visuals (images, photos, videos, infographics, etc.) for publication.
- The selected candidates must share their published content on their own social media profiles.

Benefits:

Regular contributors (at least one article per month) will be able to form part of a global network of journalists, with access to a private Facebook group exclusively for young journalists.

In addition, regular contributors will be able to request press passes and accreditations for events (e.g. fashion shows, concerts, museum exhibits, etc.) in your city or region. The type of press pass you can request will depend on the section you have been writing for (e.g. fashion related press passes for the Glamour section, politics related press passes for the Gobernanza section, etc.). The possibility of requesting press passes will be determined by our Editor in Chief and will depend on the quality of your articles (higher quality means it is more likely you will obtain passes, obviously).

Sports Writer

Have a passion for writing or talking about sports? Check Down Sports, founded by two college roommates, is looking to add talented individuals to its team. Founded just a year ago, Check Down has seen impressive and steady growth in regards to viewership. We are looking for sports writers to contribute to the site's content (articles or podcasts) and social media pages. At Check Down, we pride ourselves in allowing our writers to enjoy the freedom of covering whatever sports they want and writing articles in any style or length they please. This is a part-time, non-paid job that can be done from the comfort of one's home. While we want this to be an enjoyable experience, we expect all writers to work with a high degree of professionalism. Apply to be a part of an up and coming company with untapped potential.

Fashion, Footwear, Art, or Music Freelance Journalist

You will be responsible for putting together one story every other week regarding to Fashion, Footwear, Music, or Art. You will be in regular contact with your supervisor on the breadth and scope of each piece.

Seeking writers for ZEKE magazine

ZEKE: The Magazine of Global Documentary is seeking writers for the upcoming fall issue.

Our format is to have three documentary feature articles and 2-3 other articles about issues related to documentary and journalism. Each documentary feature is accompanied by an original article of 1000 words exploring the issue in greater depth. Past issues have been on the rise of nationalism in Russia, Iran by Iranians, maternal health in Africa and Haiti, the stateless Rohingya, the forgotten Caucasus, and many others. We do not yet know what the features and articles will be for the fall issue but by June 1, we will have made a decision and will want to begin assigning articles to writers. We will generally allow 4-5 weeks for the first draft.

We are unable to offer payment but your work will be published in both the print and digital versions of ZEKE magazine, which is distributed across the US and internationally.
