Podcast & Social Media Producer

We're hiring a Podcast & Social Media Producer to help research and produce a 30 minute video podcast, interviewing leaders in the media & tech world, along with comedic videos about the news for Youtube, TikTok and Instagram.

This paid position requires a commitment of at least five days a week, lasts three months (with the potential for a full-time job at the end) and is reserved for candidates with a strong desire to join our team as a full-time employee upon completing the internship.

The candidate will work with industry veterans to book show guests, coordinate remote production, liason with video editors, select social clips/content, and pitch/research ideas for segments. We have production teams already so this position is more editorial, copy editing, booking and production of the podcast and social content.

A passion and curiosity in the future of journalism, advertising and creator economy is a must. Must be passionate about writing for social media. A self-motivated, startup mentality along with utmost professionalism and attention to detail are all musts for this role. Must have an Interest in learning or experience in digital marketing and audience development strategies for social media.

We are based in Miami and candidate must be with editors/producers/writers in Miami, Brazil, Turkey and elsewhere. Candidate should be in a US timezone and native English speaker. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE GRADUATED AND BE WILLING WORK AS A FULL TIME HIRE at the end of the contract.

Responsibilities

Degrees (already graduated) and experience/internships in journalism, video production, and/or social media / digital marketing.
Work with Ginga Media execs and production teams to set a shows agenda, coordinate with guests, ensure the highest audio & visual production quality, and select clips to publish to multiple social media platforms.
Book multiple guests per week
Editing copy for newsletter and social media posts
Email high-level executives and coordinate interviews with industry leaders
Develop social media ideas and strategies
Work with digital strategists to implement audience development strategies

Qualifications

A degree with a focus on journalism, film, or social media advertising.
Experience/ internships in journalism, digital marketing, or podcast production.
A deep curiosity for the future of media and advertising
Desire to learn about paid ad campaigns and social media audience development strategy a big plus.
A good sense of humor or experience in comedy also a big plus.
