The Branded Experiences team builds world class content experiences that are a mix of integrated video, blogs, photo galleries, social tools, live events, and more. BE is focused on answering complex RFPs for brands and delivering innovative solutions that Aol/Huffington Post executes from beginning to end. The editorial branch of our team works to create premium content sites for our partners to reach their target audience through engaging and original content.

AOL’s Branded Experience team is looking for a creative, organized, editorial summer intern! The intern will serve as an editorial assistant for several of our Branded Entertainment programs by creating and editing articles and photo galleries as well as doing general research. Such programs may include GMC Trade Secrets, Live Better America, Heidi Klum and Savings Experiment.

Responsibilities may include:
·Research for upcoming articles around home décor, cooking and women’s fashion
·Creating photo galleries for our internal editors and our team of bloggers as well as assisting writing captions and doing edits
·Cleaning up old posts, removing bad links and correcting fonts
·Reminding talent to tweet/post on social media
·Assisting with social media management of sites: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more
·Outreach to existing blogger list with new videos and content they may be interested in

What we look for:
·All applicants MUST be currently enrolled in a masters or undergraduate program at an accredited university
·You have excellent writing skills
·You have working knowledge of photoshop, basic HTML, and have used a CMS such as WordPress
·You are interested in social media and can communicate content proficiently to audiences through Facebook, Twitter and blogs
·You know your way around PowerPoint and can create decks that will delight, surprise and inform using multi-media
·You are a collaborator – you like people, people like you – and you can work effectively across functions and personalities
·You have a passion for digital content and are eager to learn the inner workings of creating and maintaining an engaging website
·You have a major in communication, journalism or advertising (preferred, but not required)

This is a paid summer internship in our NYC office. Candidates who can continue on a part time basis through the fall semester preferred, but not required.

Moviefone Editorial Intern (Summer)

Moviefone is the pioneer Movie Discovery site, founded as a phone movie discovery service in the late eighties, heralding a transition into online movie discovery, and evolving into the iconic, full-service movie site with movie news and reviews that it is today. It maintains a top-3 movie service site ranking in ComScore and is poised for the next generation of services like multi-platform movie information, on-demand and streaming movie content, and geo-enabled mobile information and innovative user-upload features.

Moviefone is home to three original video series – Unscripted, MovieClub: Where Are They Now? and Six Second Reviews – featuring A-list actors, behind-the-scenes exclusive footage and expert advice on movies to see. Moviefone has Northern American reach nationwide throughout the United States and Canada.

The Moviefone team is looking for an intern who is a quick study, VERY passionate about movies, and can help with editorial programming tasks with an emphasis on production and behind-the-scenes functions!

Role & Responsibilities:
• Daily programming work is required to:
• Manage our DVD release page
• Manage our "Coming Soon" & "In theaters" pages
• Assist with Moviefone tumblr, facebook & twitter accounts
• Assist with community outreach and promoting content with fan communities

Assist editors with:
• Transcribing
• Editorial Research
• Taking minutes during editorial meetings
• Organizing editorial calendars
• Photo assignments, building galleries
• Writing copy

Requirements for Success:
• Passion for online media and internet-based businesses
• Previous internship experience or related experience in journalism, marketing/communications (preferably in Film)
• A current student enrolled in an accredited four year university. Recent graduates may be considered.
• Knowledge of the film industry, box office trends, home entertainment platforms, film studios
• Understanding of blog platforms, html, photoshop a plus
• Ability to anticipate movie audience trends
• Superior communication skills, written and oral
• Well organized, able to multi-task and able to prioritize with minimal direction
• Able to follow up with project partners to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables

Summer Editorial Intern

O, The Oprah Magazine is looking for smart, diligent and enthusiastic editorial interns for the summer of 2013, beginning in late May/early June. This internship is for credit only.

O Interns will work in a variety of areas throughout the editorial department, including features, health, beauty, books, food, iPad and Oprah.com. Interns at O are treated as part of the team, so while there may be some administrative tasks, there is also a real opportunity to contribute and see firsthand the production of a large monthly magazine. Interns must have good communication skills, a professional attitude, and enthusiasm for every task.

Summer 2013 Editorial Intern

Us Weekly’s special issues team is looking for an unpaid summer editorial intern. We are flexible with scheduling but require 20 hours of work per week. College credit and a love for all things pop culture (from movie franchises to the royal family) are a MUST. No exceptions. Duties include:

• Aggregating relevant news from major outlets, Google Alerts, plus related fansites and Twitterfeeds
• Efficiently and thoroughly transcribing interviews
• Compiling detailed and meticulously organized research files via YouTube clips, radio interviews, magazine scans and archives, Twitter, etc.
• Attending editorial meetings and possibly pitching ideas
• Using LexisNexis, Studio Systems, Celebrity Service, Critical Mention, imDB Pro and Who Represents as resources for fact-checking and organizing publicist contact info
• Helping our photo team with preliminary research and administrative work
• Occasionally assisting the weekly magazine with any extra editorial needs

Summer Internship--MONEY Magazine

Money, the nation’s largest personal finance magazine, is currently seeking interns for summer 2013.

Money interns join our reporter pool and work closely with writers and editors in all sections of the magazine. They are encouraged to pitch stories and usually get the opportunity to write short department items and sidebars, as well as to become part of the reporting team on larger features (including our signature franchise, The Best Places to Live in America). On a daily basis, interns will also be involved in providing background research and reporting for senior level writers, gathering data for graphics and fact-checking. Most interns spend at least a week working at the CNNMoney website. Interns will be invited to attend Money’s planning and story pitch meetings, as well as Time Inc.’s numerous intern events, which include talks with top company executives and editors.

We look for interns with strong reporting, interviewing and writing skills. The best are quick studies who can work independently, but know when to ask questions. It helps to be detail oriented and dogged about accuracy. Previous business reporting experience is not a requirement, but interest in our consumer and personal finance topics is.

The internship runs from the beginning of June to the beginning of August. This is a paid position, and Time Inc. will also provide dormitory style housing in New York at a nearby university.

Editorial Intern

Stereogum is seeking NYC-based Editorial Interns for Summer 2013.

The Stereogum Editorial Internship is an exclusive program that accepts a small number of applicants each semester. The program is open to students currently enrolled in journalism and/or creative writing programs.

The internship offered here is multifaceted. The right applicant will be involved with all aspects of the site's editorial and production process, which includes (but is not limited to): assisting writers and editors with research, transcription, and reporting; assembling posts in the site's admin; curating photo galleries; setting up video and audio streams; vetting new artists for coverage; assisting in curation and assembly of live events; and of course writing for Stereogum.

The right applicant will be highly ambitious and deeply plugged into new music, with goals to work in music journalism and/or the field of music. He or she should be a skilled writer with some web background as well as social media savvy.

Stereogum Editorial Interns are expected to work two (2) full days per week; schedules are flexible, however, and will be based on both parties’ needs and availability. Editorial Interns should have access to a laptop and smartphone; additionally, it wouldn’t hurt to own a digital camera and digital audio recorder.

Editorial Summer Intern

Intern responsibilities include writing stories for Backstage.com, providing coverage of local events, and supporting the editorial staff in various capacities. Interns should have a strong interest in writing and journalism, and previous editorial internships are a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to write on deadline are a must. An interest and knowledge of the arts is recommended.

Online Editorial Intern

Interview Magazine seeks web editorial interns for the summer. Interns must be available at least two days a week.

Responsibilities include transcribing the interviews that appear on the site, building slideshows, assisting web editors, and writing blog posts; if you’re a good writer who takes initiative with pitching ideas, you’ll have more of an opportunity to get your writing on the site.

Potential interns must have a passion for all the areas we cover: film, music, art, fashion, and culture. Experience with transcription and web production is a plus, as is blogging experience.

Editorial Intern

We're looking for summer interns for each of our brands -- Curbed, Eater, and Racked. Interns work directly for editors, undertaking journalistic tasks included but not limited to research, fact-checking, attending community board meetings, and, if proven worthy, photography and blog post writing. Our internships tend to click best for applicants with a overwhelming personal fascination with the topic of our sites. If, for example, you already happen to know which of next month's restaurant openings you're most excited about, you'd probably be a great fit for Eater.
